— Seize the Opportunities in the Wind Energy Market

According to statistics released by the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC), the global offshore wind industry is expanding rapidly and is expected to grow by more than fourfold over the next decade. Meanwhile, Taiwan’s offshore wind industry is entering a critical phase of transformation. Despite ongoing policy adjustments, the market continues to demonstrate strong long-term growth potential, with cumulative installed capacity exceeding 3 GW, maintaining its position as the second-largest offshore wind market in Asia.

GWEC’s report indicates that global offshore wind installed capacity has already reached 83 GW and is projected to expand significantly to 441 GW within the next ten years. In particular, the period from 2025 to 2029 is expected to see a strong compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 28%, with annual installations forecast to exceed 30 GW by 2030.

The Taiwanese government is also advancing the Taiwan 2050 Net-Zero Transition – Wind and Solar PV Key Strategic Action Plan. Through a three-stage policy framework consisting of Demonstration & Incentives, Potential Sites, and Zonal Development, Taiwan is steadily promoting offshore wind deployment. The government has set a target of 40–55 GW of offshore wind capacity by 2050, highlighting the substantial growth potential of Taiwan’s wind energy market.
